100% human remy hair extensions

What is Remy Human Hair?

Remy human hair is the highest grade of real, human hair that is a preferred choice for hair extensions, hairpieces and wigs because it achieves the most natural look.

Remy hair is considered to be the finest quality of hair extensions because the cuticles are kept intact and not stripped, like in most other non-remy hair extensions. preserving the hairs cuticles and aligning them in a unidirectional fashion creates extensions that are completely natural in appearance. this process ensures that the hair remains super soft, shiny, silky and tangle-free throughout its lifetime.

Shelly Tudor our hair extension specialist with 5 years experience in the hair extension industry, Shelly explains “Having worn extensions myself for over 15 years I know how important it is to find the method that suits your lifestyle and hair type the best. Choosing great quality of hair is very important but so is making it affordable for clients. It has taken me a while to find a supplier of hair that I am 100% confident in and happy with. I would never use hair that I wouldn't be happy to wear myself and I have also tried all methods of fitting’’

The methods of semi-permanent hair extensions that we offer are as followed

Micro-rings

A fitting of a full head of micro-ring hair extensions will usually take around 2 hours to have installed. The metal ring is firstly applied to fine strands of your own hair, the extension is then clamped tightly inside the micro ring holding it securely in place alongside your natural hair. The micro rings come in a range of colours so they can blend in with your own hair colour to ensure they do not show through. We use micro rings which have a silicone inner lining to prevent the hair extensions from slipping whilst also offering a comfortable cushion to your own hair. Up to 150 individual hair strands are usually applied to a full head. each strand weighs 1gram in weight and the amount applied varies depending on the natural thickness of your own hair. Micro rings can last a minimum of three months providing you follow the aftercare instructions correctly. You will be required to return to us for maintenance every 4-6 weeks to have the rings pushed back up to to your head to ensure maximum comfort and to ensure they last as long as possible. Cost of maintenance is £25 per hour and the average maintenance appointment is 1 hour.

LA Weave/Micro-weft

When you want thickness, ease of styling, and a realistic hair extension look....one of the best choices is to use weft hair.  This is a "tried and true" form of extensions that can provide a very wearable, natural looking hair style.
This methods is applied by applying rows of micro rings with silicone inner lining to your natural hair. This is applied as a ‘full head’ and is the method that is the easiest to care for. This kind of weft consists of two single wefts, aligned back to back, and attached with micro rings.  This is much preferred, because result is a thicker look, and the beard is more concealed and less likely to create problems with itching. The micro weave hair application is much quicker than the individual strand by strand micro ring or pre-bonded method. A weft can last for a total of 3-4 months and requires a tightening maintenance every 3-5 weeks to move the weft back up to its original position.

Nano rings

Nano tip hair extensions are fitted by taking small individual portions of a client’s hair, and threading a nano ring onto the hair. Once in place, the nano tip hair extension is then threaded through the ring, and a small set of pliers is used to clamp the hair extension in place.

At your 4-6 week maintenance you will have the Nano Tips removed and reapplied using a new Nano Ring. This is vital as the hair may become stressed with the weight of the hair extension as it is only held in by roughly 40 strands of your own hair.

During the rotation the Nano bead will be removed and any shedding of hair combed out.
The extension can then be attached to a fresh piece of hair consisting of approximately 40 stands of your own hair.

1 hour maintenance time is needed for this method costs £35.00 per hour.

Our top 5 maintenance tips for keeping your extensions in their best condition

1- Always use the approved aftercare products recommended by your hair extensionist. Using the wrong products can shorten the lifespan of your hair extensions. Shampoo and condition your hair at least once a week. Any conditioner or treatment should be applied to the mid-lengths and ends of your hair only and not the extension bond itself.

2- Do not towel dry your extensions with a scrubbing motion. Use a blotting motion instead and wrap the hair in a towel to remove excess moisture. Always blow-dry your hair on a cool/warm temperature (not hot, which may damage the bonds), and ensure it is 100% dry to avoid tangling through-out the day.

3- Brush your hair on a daily basis using a soft bristle brush (or a looped hair extension brush for single bonded methods) by taking small sections of hair, gently brushing from the bottom working up towards the bonds. With single bonded methods separate the bonds with your fingers to avoid matting.

4- Before going to bed, tie your hair in a loose pony tail or plait your hair before sleeping to avoid and tangling or tension of your hair extensions while sleeping.

5- Always go back to your extensionist for a maintenance check and tighten (if required) and have your extensions removed professionally within the specified period. Removing the extensions yourself or by an unqualified extensionist can cause serious damage to your own hair and scalp. Give your hair a two-to-three week break with regular hair treatments prior to having a new set of extensions.
